1 lb ground Beef from grass-fed cows
1 Egg
1 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Fresh Cracked Pepper
2 tsp filtered water
2 tsp coconut aminos
Ghee
Toppings:
Lettuce, large leaves washed and dried (Iceberg or Romaine)
Tomatoes, diced
Cheddar Cheese
Mayo, homemade
Pickle, fermented
Ketchup, homemade
Opt. Jicama Slaw
Combine burger ingredients in a bowl and mix well with hands.
Create 4 patties.
Heat skillet to med-high heat and add just enough ghee to coat bottom.
Cook patties for 5 minutes per side.
Remove patties from heat and let sit for 5 minutes before eating.
Wrap patties in large lettuce leaves and finish with toppings.
Note: Don’t press down on the patties during cooking! It creates a less-than-juicy patty. Instead, cover the skillet with a lid during cooking to keep all the juices in the pan.
